Renting a dumpster can be useful for large household cleanup projects, remodeling projects, roof replacement, and yard waste removal. Dumpsters used for these kind of projects are typically referred to as "roll off dumpsters" because they roll off the back of the trash hauling truck onto your driveway, parking lot, street, or yard.
Roll off dumpster rental sizes are quoted by the amount of cubic yards of debris they can carry, typically 10 yard, 20 yard, 30 yard, or 40 yard dumpsters.
Prices vary significantly by size of the dumpster and the location in which you are renting. Total costs to rent a dumpster are anywhere from $175 to $750. Larger dumpsters cost more to rent because they fit more debris and will typically be heavier and cost more to dump at the landfill. Landfill fees make up a large part of the cost of dumpster rental and vary significantly by area.. anywhere from $20 per ton up to $100 per ton for disposal fees.
